Privacy Policy

How we hold your data, and what we don't do with it.

Tranqua is a mental-health app. The information you share here deserves more care than most. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and how it stays yours.

Last updated: January 27, 2026

Starter draft. This document is a reasonable starting point but is not a substitute for legal review. Replace before launch with reviewed copy from Termly, iubenda, or counsel.

The short version

We collect the minimum we need to run the app. We never sell your data. We never use behavioral analytics that profile you by your mental-health usage. You can export or delete everything at any time.

What we collect

Account information

Usage data

Payment information

We do not store your credit card. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe. We receive only a customer ID and a subscription status from Stripe — never card details.

What we do not collect

How your data is stored

Tranqua uses Supabase (managed PostgreSQL on AWS) for storage. Every row of journal data, panic-session data, and profile data is protected by row-level security: no other user — and no third party — can read it. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS).

How we use your data

Who else sees your data

We share data only with the service providers we need to run the app:

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not share it with insurance companies, employers, or healthcare providers.

Your rights

You can:

If you live in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, including the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. We honor all of these.

Children's privacy

Tranqua is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll notify you in-app and via email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

If you're in crisis

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. In the US, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 by call or text — and you can text HOME to 741741 to reach the Crisis Text Line. Tranqua is not a substitute for medical or crisis care.
